About Deanna
Hi. My name is Deanna K. Morrice LCSW, a psychotherapist with five years of experience assisting clients with life’s challenges. I hold a Master’s of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin, a Juris Doctorate from Cornell Law School, and a B.A. in English from Colgate University. I am certified in Brainspotting.
As a second career therapist, I bring a unique perspective as a wife and mother of four adult children and a child of divorce who experienced trauma as a young person. My own healing journey, my psychological training, and my heart for the gospel motivate my work.
I specialize in couple’s counseling and family therapy. I enjoy assisting individual clients in the second half of life who are navigating grief and loss of any kind, meaning making, struggles with adult children, relational dynamics, overwhelm, and addiction recovery for the individual and family.
My experience in a university mediation office and in a non-profit hospice agency informs my work. I also spent a decade ministering to nursing home residents.
