The news of pregnancy is often met with unbridled excitement, festive gender reveal parties, and lavish baby showers. Unfortunately, not all pregnancies are celebrated, especially when they are unwanted at the time of conception. Sadly, many unplanned pregnancies end in abortion. In fact, today Texas accounts for 6.4% (55,000) of abortions of the total 850,000 in the United States annually.
We believe that God considers all human life precious. So we celebrate the “Texas Heartbeat Law” of 2021 that outlaws abortions once a fetal heartbeat can be detected. At the same time, we also believe that we should be not only pro-life, but pro-thrive for all parties concerned.
