Tim Hawks
Tim was born and raised in Michigan and accepted Christ as a young boy. He received his bachelor’s degree from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO, and a masters in theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, where he met his wife, Cindy. Tim planted and pastored a church in Ruston, LA, for three years prior to coming to Hill Country Bible Church in March of 1989. Tim and Cindy have four children: Kate, Ben, Ellen and Sam. Tim enjoys reading, hunting and keeping up with his kids.

Rick Loofs
The Loofs family has lived in Austin since 1995 and have been attending HCBC since March, 2008. Rick and his wife, Trudy, have four boys: Ryan, Tyler, Chris and Jake. Rick accepted Christ at age 13 while at a Christian summer camp on the Texas coast. He graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in engineering and received a master’s degree from the department of Counseling and Family Studies at Liberty University in 2008. Rick works in the business operations area for a technology company and enjoys traveling with Trudy and the boys, camping and serving as an adult leader with Hill Country’s Boy Scout Troop 234.

Bill Stauber
Bill was born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Growing up in a Christ-centered family, he accepted Christ at the age of 6. Upon graduating from New Mexico State University with a BS in civil engineering, Bill moved to Los Angeles, CA, where he met his wife, Casey. After moving to Austin, Bill and Casey started attending HCBC in 1999. They consider it a blessing to be part of a family of believers where they are continually challenged and encouraged to “take the next step spiritually." Bill and Casey have been blessed to raise three children: Jessica, Will and Emma.

Joe Davis
Joe was born and raised in Texas and committed his life to Christ in 1984 at the age of 32. He graduated in 1975 from the University of Texas at Arlington and moved to Austin in 1990. Joe and his wife, Nancy, have two children, Rachel and Katie. They have attended HCBC since 1997. Joe has served in various ministry leadership roles within the Association of Hill Country Bible Churches. He is currently in a sales position in the electrical industry and enjoys activities that involve the entire family.

Richard Dooley
Richard grew up in Austin and attended college at The University of Texas. He placed his trust in Christ in June of 1996, and he and his wife, Susan, began attending HCBC in 1998. Richard has served in various ministries, including as a board member of Hill Country Christian School of Austin for the last six years. He has been humbled to see how God has worked through the ministry of this Christ-centered school. Richard and Susan have three children: Avery, Christian and Ellie.

Todd Janssen
Todd is originally from Wisconsin and met his wife, Sondra, at Texas A&M. The Janssen family joined HCBC in 1998, and Todd has served in children’s and adult ministry since that time, including a six-year term on the Board of Trustees with Hill Country Christian School of Austin. Todd and Sondra have been blessed with two children, Caroline and Nicholas. Todd is employed by a local civil engineering firm and enjoys virtually anything outdoors and anything Aggie!

Curtis Carpenter
Curtis was raised in San Antonio and accepted Christ at the age of 11. He attended Abilene Christian University and married his wife, Jennifer, in 1981. They began attending Hill Country in 1998 and have enjoyed serving in middle and high school, college, singles, internationals, and empty-nesters. The Carpenters are blessed with two daughters and one son-in-law who is in full-time ministry. Curtis travels all over the country working on community bank mergers and acquisitions and enjoys staying active, traveling with Jennifer, and spending time with family and friends as much as possible.

Tom Ashcraft
Tom grew up in Baytown, Texas, and attended college at the University of Texas at Austin. He placed his trust in Christ in May of 1985 at the end of his freshman year, and was active in college ministry and outreach on the UT campus until graduating in 1989. Tom participated in a local church plant near the campus area for three years prior to attending Hill Country Bible Church in 1993. Tom and his wife, Donna, have three children: Tyler, Emily and Megan. Tom is currently employed by a local engineering firm as a civil engineer and enjoys camping and fishing.

Brad Medford
Brad grew up in San Francisco and attended engineering school at Point Loma College in San Diego, CA, where he met his wife, Julie. In January 2000, they moved to Austin with their three children, Brennan, Andrew and Haley. Brad and Julie have served in various ministries at HCBC over the past 12 years, including Awanas, small group leadership and global outreach. Brad has worked in various capacities with communication companies in both California and Austin. He is currently employed at a global networking company as an engineering manager.
